Pizzas are the secret to my success

I remember that evening, Dad ordered takeaway
Twenty pizzas dropped off at the porch
A feeling came as I lifted the cover
OMGEE! Hawaiian and Cheese
I ran in joy and tripped on my face
Now that was the last failure of my days

As i munched on the pineapple, so crispy & sweet
I matched it to my love that's fulfilling and neat
So i picked up the phone, & gathered my courage
With my oily hands, I rang up my boss
"Sir," I said "I've got an idea! So amazing & fine, you'll jump off your rear!
With this revolutionary plan, they'll concede defeat. It takes no more than a pizza's retreat"

So for the next two hours I explained my plan, which was neither impractical, nor hard to understand
When we're both satisfied, I resumed my eating
Then i called up my girlfriend and invited her over for some share
Who knew how wonderful to talk over pizza
We decided Boys are like purses,cute, full of crap, and can awlays be replaced
And that we control our life's success

Before we knew, the twenty pizzas were devoured
Despite the calories, I found my secret to success

Indelible

I dream of a meadow,
of the orange rays which blind me.
Dazzle,
Obscure,
dismiss from mind.

A meadow which transforms into a war field,
of obliteration.
The provocation to take down enemies
one by one.
So that none are left standing.

Scrutinize the tattoos on the enemies' bodies. Why leave marks?
i dwell on the fantasy of reverse-tattoos,
to be unpierced,
unmarked.
To remove the indelible,
the inerasable.

All down now. the tattoo men.
But the bareness is only an illusion to the eye,
a comfort to the mind.
Look what's left on the horizon of this warfield, so small you almost missed it,
Cotton on thorns.

Cotton, once of the purest form,
pierced. Blood splattered -
sight, stench, the scaly touch, the metallic taste.
Another mark,
Indelible.

"Remove the cottons, rip out the thorns.", i hear you say.
But how do i go through the whole meadow?
To have gone through half of the field,
only to find new thorns grown in place of the old ones.
A cruel chaff; a needless mockery.

I dream of a meadow,
a meadow of thorns.
And I can't wake up.

To muffle,
fog,
make undistinct.
To conceal,
but what's underneath,
is Indelible.

Like your presence,

The Victimizer

He flashes his smile,
And says words so deep,
A prince so wonderful.
Any girl would weep

His blazing eyes pierce through,
Through the victims soul,
But, oh, if only they knew,
How it would burn like coal.

Did you hear him say “I love you?”
That you are so special,
Perhaps a kiss, or two?
These my friend, are superficial.

He moves on from one victim to another,
with tactics so very good,
it makes us shudder.
So fast, so cruel, so crude!

Secrets are kept,
To maintain his “reputation”,
But things have crept,
Through many a conversation.

I thought I had known him,
Known him very well,
But the light was very dim,
And everything he said would sell.

Now, I know the truth though,
And I know not what I think of it,
But as the tears go on and flow,
I feel the urge to scream, “Just quit!”

But we believe in a world of good,
Where serial killers don’t belong.
So we are doing what we should,
Goodbye hidden identity,

Enigmatic

Pride,
that i have no more of.
Patience,
that i have so much of.
Look at how you've changed me,
look what you've made
can you see that smile, on my face?

I feel like I should reach out,
but yet you withdraw.
But when i withdraw,
you reach out some more.
What is this arduous game we play?
I only wish it'd end some day

Forget?
Pretend?
But Where could i hide?
So i stand in this corner,
For you
I bide.

Formal hellos as we cross paths in the hallway
awkward hugs that should feel so right.
Smiles we exchange in every eye contact
Phone calls where laughter is the theme.

But look what you've made,
can you see that smile on my face?
Of all people,
can you
read behind that enigmatic smile?
