a friend of mine is leaving hk today for australia, for an aviation course. he's going to become a pilot! it's been his dream since year 9. isn't it absolutely beautiful when a person holds on to one dream for years and then finally pursues it?
and i also saw a photo album on facebook that his dad made for him. it's an album of the 18 birthday presents his dad bought him for his 18th birthday. each present had a meaning to it. a birthday card, cake, a cassette of his mum's voice, a watch, a photo album, these are just a few examples. and reading the captions to those photos made one word jump off the screen so boldy - love.
and if you go on his parents' facebook accounts (yes i stalked his parents) you'll see that their photo albums are all about their son. "son's primary photos", "son's 7 year old birthday", "son's IB graduation"... everything about them, is about their child.
a parent's love is selfless, border-less, and endless. it goes places that we, as children, are yet to comprehend, and are yet to discover.
