this afternoon our part-time maid, daisy, took down every mosquito net on our windows to clean them (again). then her van came and she had to go. so i volunteered to finish off her job - which was to install back all the nets. i thought it was gonna be some lovely match-the-pieces fun....
BUT IT WAS NO JOKE I TELL YOU.
only today did i realize our house had a horrific number of 22 windows. and whoever designed our windows and nets is an idiot, because WHY ARE THEY SO HUGE? and WHY IS EACH A DIFFERENT SIZE?! so i wasted a whole precious IB hour carrying nets my size to each window and tried to match them, and match them, and match them. and then climbed up and down the ladder to attach them. and by the time i was done i was sweating like a pig. i was so proud of my achievement that i had a sudden sadistic urge to take down all the nets and start all over again. but maybe another day. i have economics coursework to tend to now.
