perhaps words don't count. perhaps neither do condolences, embraces, nor kisses.
although i am not a religious person myself, i have to praise Carol's belief in God. because God has led her to see the bigger purpose. God has allowed her to understand that emotions are merely, emotions. And yes, that God has greater plans for her. And also, life isn't about living for yourself. it's about putting people before you. I do not believe, nor do I not believe in God. but i like his teachings. i like compassion. i like it when people are able to grasp the idea that perhaps.. you live for everyone else. and if you sacrificed a bit of yourself, to "feed" another person - maybe that's what life is truly about. yes it may be difficult. and yes you may not gain anything from it. but that isn't really the point. maybe the greatest love is being able to sacrifice for a person who would not even bat an eyelash for you. when you're sad, think that it means there are others who are happy. there needs to be a balance. nothing is ever truly fair anyways, so sometimes, you can volunteer to be the person who loses. but in the end, you're the one who has gained the most.
when you understand this kind of sacrifice, when you understand and is able to carry it out, that's when you see beyond it all.
and that's when sadness, is merely an emotion.
