as for today

i wrote my first cheque.
there are certain responsibilities that the five year old in me really doesn't want to bear. but i guess everyone else around me's doing the same thing.
yesterday i miraculously found my way to the college (took a lot of walking-in-circles, fumbling around, and asking for directions from people who were too busy to answer). met friend, got debit note for dorm fees, had lunch, met a few malaysians, rushed to meet bec who just arrived at her dorm.
bec moved in, and we met a few people, then rushed to the bank to queue to open an account, but after an hour, the line barely budged, so we left to get our pillows n such instead. bec went on her first mini-bus ride, and bought her first MTR ticket, then almost lost her ticket. reached mall, was too exhausted to buy anything. went for dinner. then went back to dorm. tried to sleep, couldn't till 4am cos the aircond was killing me. woke up at 7 with red eye, very sore throat, sore cut feet cos my shoes were unhelpful like that, and a desire to lie down and not move till next week. BUT, took minibus, MTR (packed to the brim with people going to work), walked through HK park, etc. journey of an hour and a half till i reached home, which was on the other side of hong kong. don't know how i managed it. collapsed in bed, remembered there were things i had to do for tomorrow, dragged self out of bed to do it. collapsed for a second time, and slept - peacefully, for once in the past 3 days.
and tomorrow, i do it again.
