the innocent little girl takes her first timid step into the wilderness.
it all looks so welcoming, how could she possibly resist? the big trees reaching out their harmless branches to her, like welcoming-arms. And look at those flowers along the road - picturesque.
She meets the first tree. she learns the importance of family. She is reminded of her hometown, her cultures, her language. She learns to be proud of where she came from - hong kong.
the second tree was very different, and she was very surprised, because she thought trees were just trees, arent they all the same ? But from the second tree she learned to become more friendly, to be more sociable. She learned to accept people as who they are. She learned to let herself go. From the second tree, she learned the definition of fun and crazy.
But the second tree exhausted her. Yet, the little girl seems to never learn :P
she ventures deeper into the forest.
Here, she meets the third tree. She lifts her finger gingerly to touch it.
Carefully, slowly.
She's afraid of embracing it so immediately like she did with the first two trees. So she stands before the tree, studying it, observing it, learning of its past. And as she learns more, she dares herself to take a step closer to the tree.
This third tree, is nothing like the first, nor the second. She learns from this tree, to take things easy. To be calm. To be simple. That's all she sees from it for now. But she continues to stand there, still learning. Until it's again time to move on to the next tree in the forest.
The immense forest.
She realized these are all very intriguing discoveries. And that's its alright, in fact, its beneficial, to risk making these discoveries, as long as she doesn't jump right in to embrace it.
the little girl's not so little anymore..
