contemplation

maybe it was just a flutter
maybe it was a mistake
maybe an impulsive act due to the sudden rise in hormone levels
or maybe it was the freshness, the curiousity
possibly its plain personality
could it be due to respect? kindness?
maybe it was real,
& maybe it still Is real.

maybe we all like living in a lie.

or maybe we're just too much of a coward to take risks
vulnerable to changes
afraid of losing something, & never being able to get it back.
yet still pondering.

so sometimes eventhough we know very well in our hearts that its all but just a lie,
we still embrace it.
cos sometimes living in a lie makes you see reality much clearer.
& yet u're more safe and protected from the reaching claws of reality,
by hiding in the lie.
